How to Export Your Data

Your data belongs to you. Export it for doctors, backups, or moving to another app.

Go to Settings

Open Lova and navigate to Settings → Your Data → Export.

Choose Your Format

FHIR

Healthcare

Best for sharing with doctors and healthcare providers

Standard healthcare data format
Can be imported by most EHR systems
Includes all cycle and symptom data

CSV

Spreadsheet

Best for analysis in Excel, Google Sheets, or similar apps

Opens in any spreadsheet application
Easy to view and filter
Good for creating your own charts

JSON

Complete Backup

Best for full backups and migration to other apps

Complete data with all metadata
Includes settings and preferences
Best for technical users

For Doctor Visits

Export as FHIR before appointments. Email it to your provider or save it to a USB drive. This gives them complete context for your visit.

Tap "Export" and choose where to save the file:

Save to Files app
Share via email or messaging
Save to cloud storage
AirDrop to another device

Encrypted Backups

For secure backups, use the encrypted backup option:

Go to Settings → Your Data → Backup

Set a strong password

Tap "Create Encrypted Backup"

Store the file safely

Remember Your Password

Encrypted backups cannot be opened without your password. We can't recover it because we never have it. Keep your password safe!

What's Included in Exports

Period dates (start, end, flow)
Symptoms and moods logged
BBT readings
Fertility data (cervical mucus, OPKs)
Pregnancy tracking data
Notes and custom entries

Privacy Note

Exports are created entirely on your device. The data is never sent to Lova servers during export. You control where the exported file goes.
